The Archives of Biological Sciences is a multidisciplinary journal that covers original research in a wide range of subjects in life science. The new issue contains original articles in biomedical research, including the first report of 10 years of practice from a Serbian referral center on the oncologic and reproductive outcomes of fertility-sparing surgery for borderline ovarian tumors, as well as the finding that altered arginine metabolism in colon cancer is a sign of the increased proliferative potential of tumor-adjacent tissue; also, original results that the sesquiterpene fraction F1012-2 of Eupatorium lindleyanum DC. regulates the p53/NF-κB signaling pathways in human breast cancer and that hypophosphorylation of retinoic acid receptor alpha inhibits triple-negative breast cancer cell migration and invasion are presented, including the finding that erianin, a dibenzyl compound found in Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl. extract, a promising agent in the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme, triggers apoptosis in U373 and A172 glioblastoma cells.
